Yes, I’m still alive. Yes, it was my first solo vending appearance. But no, it won’t be my last.
*This was the heat index. Actual high was 93. Still.
In this epic issue:
A quick recap of my first time vending solo
A sneak peek at an upcoming release — do you like spooky art?
How to support independent bookshops when ordering my book Bone Dust
Tucked between a memoirist and Chris Semtner of the Poe Museum, the cover of my book Bone Dust drew in folks seeking something spooky. This book of dark poetry inspired by Norse mythology turned heads and led to lovely conversations with market attendees. Some became customers and/or the newest newsletter readers — hi again!
Despite the astonishingly hot weather, I decided not only would I vend again, I would expand my wares. There’s talk of a repeat performance come November, where I’ll be unveiling original art prints and an illustrated version of my first book.
If you keep an eye on this newsletter, you’ll get pre-release exclusives — stay tuned!
I’m an independent author and artist who wants you to support your local indie bookstores.
Do your online book shopping on Bookshop so your money goes to creators, not corporations.
Thank you!
P.S. That runner, heathen, and Poe historian were three of the farmers market authors. How cool is this town’s writing community?
P.P.S. If you mention this email to me at my next vending event, you’ll receive 10% off your purchase.
